North Side Easters

by Mj   Apr 20, 2006

Falling asleep as the ocean tide
crashes outside on the shore
waking up to a beautiful sunrise
loving this even more.
out on the beach for the duration of the day
soaking up the sun
kayaking and swimming around
having loads of fun.
family times of story telling
laughing at memories
that we all had together
from easters under those same trees.
times have changed just a little
or maybe just a lot
but we still manage to be together
for this easter tradition that hasn't been forgot.
and now the sun is setting
and we crawl into our beds
or tents or sofas
and set our heads to rest.
i wake up the next morning
and enjoy my last day there
before heading back home
but i don't shed a tear
for i know if all goes well
in another year
we'll be packing our things to go
right back there.
many memories have been created
from our easter's ever year
there's nothing i'd rather do
than spend time in North Side there.
