Utopia

Her favourite time to reflect on life
is when she's at the beach
where nothing in the world appears disturbed,
and no goals seem out of reach.
No one to interrupt her,
No one to make her feel
that this utopia she has created
is so far away from real.

She slowly walks along the sand
watching the ships sail away
as the sun disappears beyond the horizon
and the birds settle in their trees to stay.
In the distance,
the faint laughter as children play.
it's like music to the soul,
the closing of another beautiful day.

Kodak to capture this moment
and slowly, she forgets her fears.
She's still living for the day
when she can forget all the tears.
After the sunset, the night quickly falls
and the tremendous stars appear
that are beautiful but scary because
they seem so near.

To change what has already happened,
there is nothing she can do.
However, the future can be different
and we can all make it through
these tough times and sorrow
and the way the world has been affected by change
and the way people react with each other,
it all just seems so strange.

If we all live in peace
and we work together in harmony
I know this world could be a better place
for you and me.
