Reflection

by Tina   Apr 21, 2006

No confidence lingers, its so far gone.
Happiness is just a mask she puts on.
She wants to believe she is better than this
but when she compares herself to others, she clenches up her fist.
It's not something she can change nor something she can face
Her problem is not one that can be erased.
On the outside she's strong but inside she cries
And one tug of the tangles in her heart, and they will all come untied.
She's a girl who is lost and afraid of not being found
She's her own secret, who stays hidden from everyone around.
She shuts out her friends by keeping the insecurties near
She's so full of despair when she faces the mirror.
