Two Months and Miles

by FirstGuess   Apr 21, 2006

If my life were to change now, how would I handle it?
The days surpass my grip like the sand through an hourglass,
and how I live my life one day will all be decided after
two more months. Just two more months, and my life could
possibly change. Two more months, you'll find me two
hours away from the place I've been in my whole life, in the
place I've been wanting to go for a long time.

Two hours away, in a home familiar and not,
I would find myself two years in a place
I've already been in for the last two years.
Then after that, another two years in another place
The place we've all been pressured to go.
Two years in a place, it would seem way too easy,
yet so many people give up after the first year.

So I'm wondering, in two months my life could be changed
or not, who knows?
We'll all have to see in two months now do we?
They say "Live today like there's no tomorrow",
it's because tomorrow will never be like today.
So take what you have and cherish it like it won't be there tomorrow,
'Cause you'll never know when it'll disappear.
