Regrets and responsibility

by Kit   Apr 21, 2006

If I bound you in chains,
I'm sorry.
Even though you turned the key,
I made this feel alright.
If I trapped you in a cage,
I'm sorry.
Even though you crawled in willingly,
I made it feel like home.
If I locked you in a dungeon,
I'm sorry.
Even though you shut the door,
I introduced you to the idea.
If I shut you in the dark,
I'm sorry.
Even though you flipped the switch,
I told you it was better.
If I backed you into a corner,
I'm sorry.
Even though you ran there as quickly,
I made it a race.
If I paralyzed you,
I'm sorry.
Even though you didnt want to feel,
I'm the one who killed your nerves.
If I tied your hands,
I'm sorry.
Even though you tightened the knot,
I found the rope.
If I unbind you
II'msorry.
Even though you want to stay stuck,
I cannot allow it.
If I make you uncomfortable,
I'msorry.
Even though you see no hope,
Ill be your light.
If I make you change,
I'msorry.
Even though you mad the decision,
I'mthe one who proposed it.
I'msorry.
