Ellipsis

by Sabrina Bolvari   Apr 21, 2006

These days are becoming the years of my life
When I will pause and look around me,
To now see a world of passion and strife
Where nothing appears as it used to be.

In this story we write, it's time for my word,
And I will mark an ellipsis...
Everything is thrown into perspective
By the light of these constant eclipses.

My mind once restrained the demons of the past
Within the thin bars of memory,
But I've stopped running, they're building up fast,
And in the tears they're breaking out of me.

My heart pumps courage from the words savored there,
I said it first, I promised before...
The ghosts stab and I will bleed my strength for you,
But your mouth and eyes replied, "I love you more."

Yes, I've at last stopped running
From yesterday, I look to tomorrow,
The light I see in you now guides me
Toward the seed of hope within my sorrow.

These days are becoming the years of my life
When I will stop to look around and see,
And you're the one who can eclipse some of
the darkness that so often blinds me.
