Finding Hope

by ~~Lindsay Woods~~   Apr 21, 2006

I called you on your birthday, but you never answered the phone.
Now i am sitting here all alone.
Since i moved away,
I needed to talk to you and say,
Things are not turning out,
And i really miss you without a doubt.

But when i was coming back home,
The house i was going to live in burnt to the ground.
Now my family is struggling to get back on their feet,
And now i hope we don't live on the street,
It's hard now, than it ever was before,
This is why i miss you more and more...

The feeling i got when i saw your face for the first time,
I Knew you would be there till the very end,
The happiness of seeing you,
Is something i look forward to.
But God please help me find hope and to live a better life,
just tell me that things are going to turn out alright...

Aw girl, I told him you called n he said he'd try to get back to you ... that was stupid of him and I smacked him on the head the otherday for it. I think he gets the point cuz I only talk to him when I'm mad at him n e more.

It felt akward and everything seemed to jump around. Everything was good concept wise but you need a direction to start in and a diretion to end the poem with. 4/5

Wowser, it's a very good poem, great ending line, it really tied it all up. The second stanza had the best flow. Keep up the good work.
