Those Words

by ~*~Yours-Truly~*~   Apr 22, 2006

My stomach lurched as he said those words,
"Your daughter's going to die."
As she held my trembling hand in hers,
I was to upset to cry.

I nearly collapsed, as he said those words,
He was ripping my heart out.
"There's nothing you can do doctor?"
I asked in doubt.

He shook his head, and said those words,
A tear rolled down my cheek.
I watched her as she drifted silently,
Into an everlasting sleep.
