Moonlit Hope

by SingleWing   Apr 23, 2006

As the moonlight glosses
And the clouds gather to cross it
I sit here, waiting alone
Waiting for someone to call
Call back home and make me theirs

Sometimes I think its over
The clouds are never to pass
But suddenly there comes a light
A light which whispers a hope
And holds me in its arms

The light tells me to wait
It's sits silent as I listen, hoping
Hoping for someone to call
Call and take me home sweet home
Home to where I find your love

Sometimes you think it's not over
Know that that they're always waiting
Waiting to call and take you home
To the place that you are theirs

But what if it's not true?
I find myself often saying
What if they have lied?
And really, they don't want me

So do i ever really know it's true?
But then it speaks back softly
And sadly in my heart I know,
In time they will get tired

Tired of telling me what I want to hear
And I'll stop playing along
I want t know I can do no wrong
And that it's not just up to me

But in a while I'll discover
that the future is something no-one can see
I am the simple mundane -me

guys-don't forget me, I know i mess up, I'm sorry, it's just me i wish i could change...x
