Death's Mistress

by Brittney Follett   Apr 23, 2006

Through all the pain and all the lies
you're the one who helps me cry
though you are gone and far away
i wish you could have came home today

now you're gone and thats the end
now I'm alone, you were my only friend
before you left; we were married
the baby is gone that i once carried

some men came by and beat it out
now its gone without a doubt
i wish you were there to save me
but that witch came by and took the key

the key i gave you to my heart
she took it from you and tore it apart
now you're gone and she has you
i only wish she'd killed me too

~from the series The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind~ Kahlan writes to Richard.
Very good Book!
The "witch" is a sorceress and she is known as "Death's Mistress" she has no heart and doesn't know the meaning to life.
i changed the story a bit but it fits my poem :P

this was the paragraph that i loved most. it doesn't matter if i came from a book. it shows that you are a great chooser of a certain text.

I enjoyed this, I found it to be sad and straight to the point.
