Accidental Suicide

by ari   Apr 23, 2006

She draws the knife
across her arms,
hoping to leave
for a little while.
She takes the blood,
and smears it on the
bathroom walls,
wishing to leave a
lethal stain,
a permanent sign of her despair.
She's lost, and no one's there,
she's looking for a road,
to direct her somewhere.
To deliverance.
But she's persuaded herself
that only self harm
will lead her there.
the knife drops,
and so does reality.
She sinks lower underneath
the surface of her own
created blackness.
To be seen no more.
She's drowning, with no
road no end in sight.
She's lost, a slave
to her plight.
Her accidental Suicide.
