GOODBYE.

You slipped away on the day as dark as night
Through the tears in my eyes I saw you move out of sight
Always my fear, always my prediction
Time and distance became a dreadful restriction

You never knew how much I cried and how I bled
I started grieving, I felt like you were dead
I spent so long upset always wondering why
But today I am here ready to say goodbye.

I liked you but I barely think of you today
I know you never choose to walk away
But you never choose to come back again
Even a second now and then would have helped the pain.

I liked our conversations, I felt like you were my friend
But I realised you were never anything to me when it all came to an end.
Unlike that distant day I no longer need to cry
Now I know who you really are all you deserve is goodbye. .
