Let me be

I cant cut anymore,
they check everyday,
i cant cry any more,
they just wont go away,

i cant speak anymore,
they only tell me what i want to hear,
i cant live anymore,
all i want is to disappear,

and maybe when I'm gone,
they'll see what they made me,
and maybe when I'm gone,
just maybe...they'll let me be...me

    The meaning that I got from these lines was, family or friends etc definetly are the people who will tell you what you want to hear, but not always the truth. They do it in some ways to protect you, its their job. An emotive write. I liked it.

    A great poem, it's short but extremely moving, you really express your desperation well. The last stanza was absolutely mind-blowing. Nice.
