I was standing at the crossroads
But I did not see the sign
I must have had my head turned
When I came upon that line
The road had been so gentle
My steps had been so small
That I did not know what hit me
When I took a giant fall
Until that point in time
Everything fell into place
When I looked into the mirror
I recognized my face
My voice spoke clearly
I knew who I was
I knew where I was going
Until I got that first buzz
Then suddenly out of nowhere
I was on unfamiliar ground
What had always seemed so simple
Was no place to be found
A fog fell all around me
I lost my footing on that road
Now the only voice I hear
Is deep within my soul
Telling me to look real hard
Somewhere lost inside
There I will find the map
To the face I left behind.
