Loved you once, But not now

by Italian Stallion   Apr 25, 2006

You ask me to stay around
And I don't want to let you down
But I loved you once
and you gave me hell

You came to me
You gave me hope
And you showed me how
But then you gave me dope

And I can't go on any longer
I don't know if I can cope
With this entagled mess
You call love

You call it love
I call it abuse
Next thing I know
Here comes a shove

I go with the flow
Try to brush it off
Sit and watch a candle aglow
Trying to get the subject out of my mind

It doesn't seem to work
I must have been blind
Not to see this before
This entangled thing we all call love

I have decided to cut you off
Cut you off from me
I loved you once
But I don't now

Go in peace
And don't you dare lift a brow
This is the end
To this mess

I walk away
Under a lot of stress
Maybe I'll take the day off
And play a little chess

Hahaha...I liked the ending. I don't read love poems often but I have to admit that you're pretty good at it joe.
    keep writing!
    have a great day,
