If I Were A Flower In Winter

by Brittany Leann   Apr 25, 2006

What\'s that? Cold, I feel cold, Winter is coming, I can feel it.
What\'s this? My petals, Once a beautiful bright pink are dying, wilting, and falling. It depresses me so to see them go. It will be months before their return.
What? My once livid green leaves, their color is gone. My stem is pale. The snow is falling and I am falling too. Into a deep sleep beneath the cushioned blanket of cold. Soon I will awaken. Then I can once again open my delicate buds and show my wondrous majesty. But until then I will remain here, in my deep sleep, under this cold blanket of ice.
