Let The Day End

by Phoebe   Apr 28, 2006

She sits and tries to pull a smile,
Waiting for the day to end,
She drops her head and walks along,
Down her cheeks her tears descend.

No one knows what to say to her,
So instead they just mock her and tease,
And she takes it all in and it stays in her heart,
And it seems that there's no one she can please.

She sits on the cold, hard floor,
And waits for the day to end,
But she still wonders why,
Down her cheeks the tears descend.

She's trying her hardest to smile everyday,
But its so hard to lie to the town,
So instead she just hides away,
And inside her tears, drowns.

Everyone says she's wanting attention,
But she doesn't, she just wants to know,
Why when the hope for another day's gone,
Do her true feelings really show?
