The Little Girl

by Elise Johnson   Apr 28, 2006

A little girl cries
in the middle of the night,
mom gives her a hug
and whispers, "It will be alright."

She tucks her in bed
and shuts the door,
she hears her mom scream,
"I can't take it anymore."

She gets off her bed
out her room she would run,
she sees her mom on the floor
and her dad with a gun.

She runs to her mom
and screams, "Daddy, Please No!"
he looks in her eyes
and says, "Lacey you need to go."

She gets up to leave
she hears shots fire out,
"Mommy is dead."
she thinks with no doubt.

Prepared for the worst
she then turns around,
she sees her mom laying
motionless on the ground.

She looks up
at her daddy's face,
he smiles and says,
"You know I love you Lace."

She closes her eyes
she hears the gun fire,
she turns to her mom
"Mommy you're a liar."

"You told me everything
was going to be okay,
now look at you
in front of me you lay.

Your gone forever
daddy's gone too,
I'm here alone
what am I supposed to do?

You both loved each other
at least that's what you said,
I guess you didn't mean it
cause now your both dead."
