Final goodbye ..

I hear their laughter
I quickly look away
I'll talk to them after
I say what I need to say
I chase after you
You don't look back
You now escape my view
The sky begins to turn black
I call out your name
I hear your voice
"It won't be the same,
It wasn't my choice"
As I rush, I begin to cry
I stop and stare
And shout out "Why?"
Then I wonder if you even care
I sit down on a bench
Tears fall as i look down
My fist, i then clench
I start to reminisce and frown
You then sat beside me
And look into my eyes
"If only you could see,
This decision, I too, despise"
You held my hand
And then you smiled
"One day, we'll understand,
Stop your tears, and don't feel riled"
You kissed my cheek
And gave me a hug
I couldn't speak
But you made me feel snug
I looked and you and said
"Promise you'll never forget,
No matter what lies ahead,
And remember, no regret."
We then shared our final kiss
As we held each other in the rain
I'll never feel bliss like this
Never will I let myself fall in love again
