Fear Of Losing Everything Again

Here we go again
Another promise he's going to stay
But we all know the truth
Eventually he'll leave too

We're starting to get closer
My walls are trembling
Here should be the limit
Of how far we'll get

But I don't want this to end
We barely know each other
Yet our feelings are so strong
We're setting each other up for disaster

You and me together
We're not meant to be
I know what true love feels like
And this isn't it

Although there's something about you
I can't quite put my finger on
Each glance you throw my way
Makes me think twice about leaving

So what are we to do?
We're not fitting together
But we're an us
Making it look like we're gonna work

You're not doing anything wrong
I have an idea of what's the problem
My inability to trust and let go
Might have something to do with it

So I'm gonna stick around
While being cautious of my feelings
If I'm not too careful I'll fall
And you'll shatter me
