It was a funny day

It was a funny day
With you and confusion aside
It was a funny day when
You finally said goodbye

The loneliness turned to misery
Of the deepest kind
Misery then found another host
And left me far behind

It left its seeds of grief and sorrow
I felt were buried in me
Buried like an oak freshly planted
Growing till eternity

It was all I thought
I had strength to bear
Till I was nested in land
I thought my heart will weep no more
It will finally comply with its end

Hope had no real strength to hold
No real reason to stay,
Congenial as it once seemed to me
It now turned away

The stab of pain was left no more
The soul was lifeless, dry,
You left no sweet pain for me to yield
You left no tear stained eye…
