How do you tell someone you love

a truth that might hurt them

and send them flying like a dove.

How do you tell all your friends too,

that the value of their friendship means so much to you.

What if you had a secret, one you're afraid to share

for you don't want to be different, you just want someone to care.

Life is so short and there is so much to do

You don't want to take from others their time,

just to spend with you.

What if you knew each day means so much

and that we take things for granted and that can be tough.

What if your secret might change the whole world

and you are so down and lonely and just want someone to hold.

People say you are strong, of that there is no doubt,

but how does a person of strength reach out?

When others have problems they always come to you,

but who do you reach for when there is no one there for you?

You cry and comfort yourself and your needs,

but its not like having someone to help with your deeds.

What if suddenly tomorrow you went blind?

Who would be there to hold you

and paint soft pictures in your mind.

What if your body had been ripped and torn,

but the mending that had been done was now withered and worn.

The answers are simple but you must feel them inside.

You go on living, but from the world you hide.

You smile and you laugh, but inside the tears flow

for you know each day is bringing you closer to your goal.

As colors fade and darkness commands

you pray to Great Spirit to just take your hand.

He has been there from the start He will walk you home

You are now lost in His love and you're no longer alone.
