When are guys going to understand?
that they are holding our hearts,
when they are holding our hand

that when they hold us close
all of our worries are gone
and that they are the first person we think of
when we hear a love song

that when they say they love us,
of course we will believe
and when we say we love them,
they are all we really need

when will they understand that when they kiss us,
we could fly
that they control our emotions;
they can make us scream, laugh or cry

that they're the only ones we think about,
the ones we are living for
yet their still the ones who can rip our hearts out
and leave them on the floor

but somehow we still want them,
after all the heartbreak and pain
because they can wash away the hurt
like a cleansing summer rain

they cleanse us from the bad things in the world,
cleanse us from the doubt
they make us believe they're listening,
and we let everything out

the good guys out there will actually care,
and listen to us talk
but there are some guys out there who could care less,
and out the door they walk

this is a look at the world of guys
from a girl's point of view
and if you're a guy who actually cares,
some of us are still looking for you

but i don't have to look any farther,
because this guy is in my world
and he will never see what i see,
because that's the point of view of a girl
