Rejection

by Silver   May 1, 2006

I don't ever want to feel that way again. That pulsing ache in my chest, right where my heart use to be. The shortness of breath as panic attack after panic attack grips me. No, never ever again.

Rejection. God, rejection is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. Not only is it a physical pain but it is mental and emotional as well.It pricks the pride and crushes the heart. It becomes a scar, a fear. You hide yourself from love, friendship, all of it, for that one fear of rejection. It deprives you of some of the greatest things in life; until someone comes along and removes the veil of protection so they can wrap you in the love that is them.
