Backseat Romance

by Claudio Castagnoli   May 2, 2006

Take your hand and hold it in mine.
Every minute were together.
I'm losing track of time.
And it feels like forever, holding you this close.
Ill never let go of you.
You'll never be a ghost.
Blinded by those eyes, fixated to those lips.
As I feel beauty at the end of every finger tip.
In my head there's only you now.
Close my eyes, but still it seems.
That in this backseat sit my dreams.
Skin so soft, damp from the rain.
Warming the blue lips, with the whisper of your name.
Darling, tell me whats on your mind.
As intimate as it can be.
Everything you need and want from me.
Given this silence, compassion has no sound.
Hearts race with thudding echoes.
In this darkness we will be found.
This backseat romance, brings with it this crash.
And all I wanna do its let my lungs collapse
A head on collision, like an arrow to the heart.
The night may have finished.
But this is just the start.
