Too Late

Today i watched you leave me, standing alone, pleading with you to stay,
but you didn't,
today i watched you laugh as i told you how much i had missed you, longing to hear you say those words back,
but you didn't
today i watched you push me away as i desperately tried to hold you, needing you to wrap you arms around my body,
but you didn't,
today i realized, you were never who i thought you were
today i realized, you had never truly given me your heart
today i realized,
too late
