Not A Day Goes By

by Holly Nicole Williams   May 3, 2006

I woke up this morning and reached out beside me
Only to find you not there
It\'s not how it use to be
Life seems so unfair.

I found your favorite shirt
lying on your favorite chair
It really does hurt
knowing you're not there.

You were the love of my life
It was hard to let you go
I had to let you fly
into the beautiful unknown.

Not a day goes by
that I don't feel you near
Up high in a blue blue sky
where everything is once again clear.
I can still feel you near.

They played your favorite song on the radio today
so I turned it up loud
I can still see that smile on your face
Oh how I wish you were here now.

You left behind some friends
who still remembers your jokes
You left behind a family
who watched as you growed.
You left behind me
who still misses you so.

Not a day goes by
that I don't hold your memories close
Not a moment passes by
that I don't wish you were here to hold.

I know your up in Heaven
watching over me
I will always cherish our love and the way things use to be.

Not a day goes by
that I don't feel you near
Up high in a blue blue sky
where everything is once again clear
I can still feel you near...
