The Truth

by Sarah   Feb 10, 2004

Watch the clock tick slowly by
Count the days that pass you by
Silently you wonder why,
Everyone can’t see you cry.
The pain is something you try to deny,
Only one can see straight through your eyes,
The huge opaque windows that pool with tears.
He reaches to your soul and drowns your fears
Hope that he stays throughout the years;
Need him to live; he’s what you hold dear.

But days then months then years have passed,
The truth is something that still won’t last.
Soon enough we’re telling lies;
It’s too late for second and third tries.
We hide our scars and hide the pain,
Bring out the sun and forget the rain,
Wipe away the tears, put away the knives,
We’re forced to live such shitty lives.
Stuck between life and death, suicide
Our hearts and souls soon divide.
