Dying Beauty

by Rylee   May 5, 2006

No one takes the time of day,
To look into her blue eyes,
And say,
That she's beautiful.
All she wants is a prince's love and care,
To have the prettiest face,
For him to proudly stare.
Someone to tell her she's beautiful,
Without it being a lie,
Without someone breaking her heart,
And to have those beautiful blue eyes cry.
She's dying to know she's beautiful,
Dying for someone to hold her hand,
Who will be beside her,
Who will proudly take a stand,
And announce she's beautiful,
To the whole world,
And look into her blue eyes and say,
That she is more beautiful than any other girl.
But then she'll wake up,
And find it was a dream,
And she'll figure out,
The world is uglier that it may seem.
And down her cheek rolls,
A single tear,
Because she knows,
Today and forever she will never hear,
That she is b e a u t i f u l
