The Last Note

It’s the last note of your life,
And it’s played with such sorrow.
The last love you’ll ever know,
Here and gone like tomorrow.

The loss of the world as the music stops,
The loss of the life that the last note drops.
Deep down in your soul the music still burns,
The times and memories that the last note yearns.

No one takes away the notes that you play,
The chords that grow in us and stay through the days.
The times you’ll miss as the curtains close,
The undying love of the life that you chose.

The people who applaud but couldn’t possibly know,
The chords of your life that will no longer grow.
It’s the last note of your life,
And it’s played with such sorrow.

The last love you’ll ever know,
Here and gone like tomorrow.

The last notes of life,
The ones you cant pretend,
The last chords you’ll hear as they come to an end.
