Voices in the dark

by Liliana   May 6, 2006

Voices in the dark
full of life, full of spark
clear and young
like they've come off a child's tongue
Whispering things into my ear
brings to my head all kinds of fear
i slip out of bed
to find the source of this noise
but all i can hear is your sweet sickly voice
i fall asleep at last
wake up next morning
can hear the voices from my past
full of sadness full of mourning
i feel my conscience slip into guilt
i slide my head deep underneath my quilt
it was an accident i swear to the truth
it wasn't my fault, the death of our Ruth.

Last year my cousin Ruth died from a joyriding accident, and it was my fault for driving the car. and i used to wake up and hear the voices of the jury as i was sentenced to 18 months. but I'm out now and don't hear them anymore. REMEMBER: ITS NOT JOYRIDING, ITS MURDER...
