Can You Hear It?

by xxLivxx   May 6, 2006

Why are the most silent people
Always screaming the loudest to be heard
No one notices them at all
No one cares to share a word

In and out everyday
Of our busy lives
While they drown in they darkness
Of all the tears they cry

Something's just not right here
Something in this atmosphere
Holding close nothing,
Not even those so dear
Not mending what is broken
Not fixing what needs repair
Something's just not right here
In this diminishing air

Take the time to look around,
That look on your face seems so profound
Look at the world from sky to ground
Can you hear it? that mournful sound?

Its like an echo
do you not see?
Of those who are crying
Those dying to be free

Something's just not right here
Something in this atmosphere
Holding close nothing,
Not even those so dear
Not mending what is broken
Not fixing what needs repair
Something's just not right here
In this diminishing air
