The Fatal Gulf

by Lecadia   May 6, 2006

Ocean waters flood the shore
Innocents taken, one by one
Ruining their every hour
Taking away their single fun
Sunset rises, sunrise falls
People in the depths sink
Drowning and dying, everyone
And here I sit and sing
Fears of blue keep me away
Under my shadow of lonliness
But this lonliness, I enjoy it
It keeps me safe from all of this
The ocean calls but I defy
The wind chills the marrow of my bones
The successors of Neptune reach my body
Claiming me to take the thrones
I fight off, but freeze in place
The gods' powers are too much for me
Drowning, motionless, like all the rest
Into the deep blue sea
