If Love Ceased to Exist

Love is only an emotion,
And I can't explain why,
Sometimes it will make you the happiest person,
It can also make you cry.

Such a double standard,
Of this feeling I can't explain,
Because I've never been blessed enough,
I'm just to ordinary and plain.

I see how everyone looks at me,
They see me as a friend,
But honestly does anyone get this,
How will this help me in the end?

I want to experience life,
Like everyone else has done,
How am I able to do this though,
When my heart has already won?

Life would be so much better to live,
If I had never been kissed,
Everytime I get close to someone,
I wish that love ceased to exist.
