Past, Present, Future

by Rayne Summers   May 8, 2006

On the outside you see a girl
With red hair, and brown eyes
A rather pretty girl
Until you look inside

Inside there's pain
Along with guilt, anger, and depression
All over a boy she thought she loved
Love can be deceiving

Now on the outside you see a girl
A rather pretty girl
With red hair, and brown eyes
And 83 scars

Scars of pain and guilt
That show brighter than the cuts did
Now she has to live with those scars
As a reminder of her past

She may have a past
But her future is brighter
History repeats itself, they say
But not for her

Her future is brighter than her past
With an outlook as far as the sun
Her future will be
Exactly opposite of her past
