The Ace of Rain

by Lody   May 8, 2006

Rain falls from the sky,
I see it my window,
The end is nigh,
And I hear an innuendo,

Someone's outside on the street,
Completely soaked by the rain,
He's got blisters on his feet,
But he's used to the pain,

A warm bath would be a treat,
But is nothing than an illusion,
A house is another need,
But is bound to an delusion,

I look from my window,
And I see the man's hair,
I hear an innuendo,
As he passes someone's lair,

"Don't be scared", he says,
"You don't have to be afraid",
"Like you cared," she says
"You are another one who wants to get laid",

The rain touches his face,
And he slows down,
But Death throws his Ace,
And puts on his torn crown,

The next day, when the sun shines bright,
I found him on the ground,
He died last night,
Dying without a sound,

"He died in his sleep",
"He was to cold",
"He was just a creep"
"He didn't get old"

But when the rain's falling,
And I listen carefully,
I still can hear his name calling,
And then I close my window, dreadfully
