Enclosing Rain Cloud

by Simon Hayes   May 8, 2006

Dazzling golden fields,
Luxurious in the sun,
Emitting such beauty.
Radiating beams of delight
Engulfing my heart.

Resplendent Carnation,
Colour so Divine.
Attracting my soul,
To your peaceful aroma
That soothes my heart.

Rain cloud,
Will you not leave me
To the gardens of this earth?
Allow me to enjoy the splendour
Once more.

The wording within this poem makes me take a deep breath in and enjoy the feeling of air filling my lungs , for some reason . The wording itself makes the poem come alive .

Maybe I am reading it wrong but to me it feels like : A beautiful day , then the clouds roll in , but after they have cleared , you look at everything around you like it has just been reborn . New and refreshing .

Gawd Simon I hope I am not seeing it the wrong way . Yet the way I see the wording in this poem just makes me feel alive!!

It's so cool when a poem touches me that doesn't rhyme... I just LOVE those. You are an amazing writer, keep it up!!
