Be What You Want to Be

by Avrii Monrielle   May 8, 2006

Be what you want to be
Don't push yourself away from dreams
Hold on to what you have and make it shine
Your life is yours and my life is mine

Your eyes can be black, brown, green, or blue
You can do anything if you believe in what you do

You can stand out or blend in with the crowd
You can goof off even when someone's around

Don't ever doubt what you can or cannot do
You can be anyone as long as you are you

Hate yourself for who you are
It's better than loving who you're not
It doesn't matter if you look weird or if you look hot

What matters is on the inside, don't ever forget
Because if you forget who you truly are
You might start to regret...

Love yourself for being you
That's the only person you can be
Never doubt in what you can do
You can make reality

A good poem and I liked the rhyme scheme and I loved the message in the poem but I hate myself for who I am and who I have been
