Reduced to Nothing

by Casey   May 9, 2006

A well risen child
who was once free of worries
somewhere went wrong
and away from reality she scurries.

Not bothering to worry about herself
until it is to late
she kept her feelings inside
and depression soon knocked down her once sturdy gate.

Once she could see so clearly
and sort her emotions out,
now she can only burrow deeper into herself
and nobody can her her desperate shouts

Being full of unending pain for so long
she needs to feel release
so just as she once read
she tried an addicting way to make her emotional pain cease.

She chose to cut her life away
to help ease her pain
and though she didn't know it
repeating this sin had kept her sane.

Until the day she tried to stop
she felt forever free
but she soon saw
what self-harm had reduced her to be.

With only pain left
she fell into a never ending pit
and from this day forward
nobody had been able to cease her never ending fit.
