To girls like me

Rich girls buy cars,
rich girls buy love,
rich girls buy anything
their rich hearts dream of,

pretty girls get rides,
pretty girls get love,
pretty girls get anything
their pretty hearts dream of,

skinny girls have rides,
skinny girls have love,
skinny girls have everything
their skinny hearts dream of,

but what about someone like me?
I'm not that ugly, or fat,
but no guys ever want me,
theres something wrong with that.
I'm just like every other girl,
I'm not perfect in any way,
but now I'm standing up for me,
right here, right now, today.

this is to all the girls who are treated like something their not,
tired of having no one care,
tired of letting their true self rot.

this is to all the girls who were never given a chance,
who sit at every prom alone, no one asking them to dance.

this is to all the girls that no one understands,
the ones they never listen to,
the ones who never take a chance.

these girls are special and unique, but no one ever sees,
these girls are quiet, so it seems, you just have to tap into their dreams.

girls like me are very shy, keeping to themselves, i am always separated from everybody else.
but i am me, and no one knows, who i truly am, cuz no ones ever taking the time to look beneath the brim. inside me there is so much more then what you think you see, but no one cares to take the time to love and care for me.
