The Murder on the Street

by Sara Ruhnke   May 10, 2006

BANG! BANG! BANG!
You hear the gun shots ring
You hear the people scream
Oh what fear it brings

You want to go outside
Just to take a look
What your eyes see
Seems like something from a book

Two people in pools of blood
Just lying there, life less
Oh my god what happened
It seems like such a mess

Where did the gunmen go?
Will they shot me too?
I wonder who did it?
I want and need to know who

My mind is racing way to fast
What should I do?
So I run to that phone
It seems like I flew

I couldn't dial the number
It being only 3 numbers long
God why can't I do it
My nerves make me go all wrong

But finally I success ed
And I get the police on the line
They ask me if I was shot
I but I don't answer, I say nothings fine

There are two people laying dead
Outside on the street
And the people who shot them got away
Oh how they did retreat

I yell and scream for the police to come
And they say they'll be there in no time
And the same picture
Is all that's running though my mind

I want to go out there
And help the dead
But there is really no use
For they got shot in the head

They can't survive
There's no possible way
And I can't get the image out of my head
It's in there plain as day

For when I saw the paramedics
Take the bodies away
I will never forget
The day my children got taken away
