JUSTICE?

by Lisa   May 10, 2006

In life we all have opinions,
sometimes they aren't the same.
People speak of justice,
To some its just a game.

The world is not so perfect,
its few and far between.
Who are we to sit and judge,
there's things we have not seen.

People have been murdered,
torn families straight in two.
I know what that feels like,
yet others have no clue.

They act on their emotions,
anger flames inside.
Others try to run away,
they even try to hide.

Justice has no meaning,
in fact its just a word.
When will people realize,
that life for a life is absurd.

People make mistakes in life,
some people do deeply regret.
others they just have no heart inside,
Those people surely are a threat.

My views will always be open,
I'll think before I do speak.
In life you cant speak of justice,
When revenge is all that you seek.

So always I'll live in confusion,
not knowing which side I should go.
Though in life I live for the future,
Yet still dread the future unknown.

Confused as always as to what I should feel about the word justice.

Well written peice with an interesting and well portraye concept. i agree with most of this peem, justice does not really exist esspessially since people have such different ideas to what it means.

one point i feel that if you changed the line "Those people are surely a threat" to "Those people surely are a threat" the peice would flow better. over than that though a great well written peice.

I disagree with the above person, I really don't think justice exists. I feel as if I never really got my justice.

Your poem, I read it earlier, was really good to me. Everything flowed well and to me at least it presented true things baout the supposed word Justice. It's a confusing topic, and hard to write about, but this was really really good.

This was a really good poem, and a very difficult topic to approach. I agree with you for most of the poem. Except that I also believe that justice does exist. People do get what they deserve in the end.
