Clocks

by bri   May 11, 2006

Echos eclipsed her mind
As the thoughts came intertwined
Among the solemn things,
The raven never sings

Still looking for what's keeping her here
The reminisces are never quite clear
All this pain, she feels like tearing
Inside, outside, this is so much bearing

To scream at a broken clock
The second hand seems to mock
She's running out of time
To the window she must climb

Onto the 2nd floor
Where door there is no more
But only a sweet drop
Where at the edge she stops

Tears river down
Although there is no frown
Shutting her dark eyes
Forgetting all the lies

The times run out
She spreads out her arms with no doubt
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
No more shall she listen to the clock
