A Dying Lullaby

by Raychil   May 11, 2006

In a nameless town
Unknown by most
A murder was done
Now arises a ghost

She walks the streets
Holding a blank stare
Holding a heavenly glow
But reeks death in the air

She sings a song
For her lover each year
Her voice is sweet
But it fills you with fear

"My sweet, sweet love
Has been taken from me
For the killing this night
Of a bride to be

Ghostly I return now
To the place I continue to die
For until I am with my love
Forever will echo, my dying lullaby."

With that she falls
Back into the dirt
Awaiting the next time
She must relive her hurt

When another year passes
Again will she awake
To sing her song
To feel her heart break

Until her love joins her
In the life after death
She will continue each year
Singing, without breath

"My sweet, sweet love
Has been taken from me
For the killing this night
Of a bride to be

Ghostly I return now
To the place I continue to die
For until I am with my love
Forever will echo, my dying lullaby"...
