Mother

by Holly Nicole Williams   May 12, 2006

I wrote this poem for all the mothers for Mother's Day :-)

You have always been there for me
I could always count on you
From every tear drop to ever skinned up knee
I knew you would always come through.

When I took my very first step of all
You were there to cheer me on
You were even there to catch my fall
You were always there for me all along.

You gave me clothes to keep me warm
Food to feed my hunger
A comforting hand to walk me through the storm
Tickles to bring me laughter.

When I had my first kiss
You listened as I told you more
Through all of my heartbreaks
You were always there to comfort and console.

Countless things you've done to show your love
How will I ever repay you?
Nothing I can ever give you will ever be enough
I guess for now, a million "Thank yous" and "I love yous" will have to do.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
