Stepping Stones

by Saige   May 12, 2006

Our bond may not be of flesh and blood
But it is a bond of greater strength
It is a bond intertwined between two hearts
A bond that can never be broken
I was robbed of a mother, you of motherhood
Like a whirlwind everything changed
Little time was given to catch your breath
Without hesitation you took me into your arms
Without reservations you added lives to yours
When life's waters become turbulent
You are there to guide me to the stepping stones
I hope to be half the child you ever dreamt for
I can only hope to become half the person you are
You may not have been the one who gave me life
But you are the one that helped save it
A loving mother is a child's blessing
Twice I have been so blessed
The warmth of the sun comes from an angel's smile
For she knows I could never be in better hands
Happy Mother's Days ... MOM
