Anatomy of a Rose

by Saige   Sep 25, 2006

The enigma of the rose
Captivates my mind.
The symbol of a love
Each one of a kind.

The beauty of the rose
Is unmatched by any thing.
It stands alone amongst the thorns
A true monarch of the spring.

The glory of the rose
From modest bud to bloom of pride.
Travel honeybees from miles away
To taste the ambrosia locked inside.

The passion of the rose
Turn the tides of love within.
Its crimson ecstasy enthralls the soul
Provokes the darkest sin.

The faces of the rose
Are dark and light combined.
Who fight to balance out this world
Until harmony they find.
