What I See

by Saige   Mar 5, 2007

I close my eyes and I see them.
The pictures I will someday take.
The hot pink and brilliant orange sunsets.
The icy mountains on a sunny winter’s day.
The perfectly clear sky except for one lone cloud.
A field of flowers painted by a fresh rainbow.
A sun that is so bright it blinds you even when you turn away.
An ocean's tide that never has an ending.
A stream that appears to be frozen but keeps running along its way.
The scenic routes people don’t take the time to see.
The dead silent woods.
The leaves of a hundred foot tall sequoia.
The breath taking vertical drops of cliffs.
Blackberries you can taste by looking at.
Small villages tucked away in the hills and valleys.
Tall grass yellowed by the sun, dancing in the wind.
Flowers flattened and dried to perfection.
Nothing but white snow on a winter night.
The glossy eye of a tiger surrounded by nature.
I can see these things whenever I want.
They are merely just a blink away.
