Before the Big Game

by Jessica   May 13, 2006

When you walk into the arena
You feel the game day tension
The people you walk by
Wish you good luck
You say thanks
And concentrate on what lies ahead
The big game
You walk into the dressing room
See the rest of your team
As a few stragglers fall in behind you
The room is loud
Full of excitement
You start getting dressed
Making sure everything fits right
As the coaches walk in the room quiets
They make their speech
And tell you they’ll be back when the ice is ready
The room stays quiet
You mentally prepare yourself for the game
The coach comes
Ice is ready lets go
You step onto the ice
Along with the rest of the team
The crowd starts cheering
Your heart starts beating
With pride for your team
