Insist upon no other

by Katrine   May 16, 2006

I insist upon no other
the way I desire for you
your lips curve in a Wiley smile
Your eyes a melting blue
your innocence it blinds me
with thoughts I never knew
But I still feel the lingering touch
I still long for it too
You are not mine but how I wish
that your love for me was true
Because I am so blindly loving
and dreaming about you

Love lasts only for the young
and withers away with age
so let me pop the question now
and turn to the same page
and though you will probably deny me
I will not scream in rage
for the love I own is not a tiger
pacing in its cage

I insist upon no other
as I insist on that hair
which cconnectsto a smiling face
and lips we both should share
if you let me love you
and give my tender loving care
I shall give to you the heavens and lord even the air
because Evan, I love you
and that is all that's fair
